WHAT IS BODYWORK?

It is usually the back portion of motor vehicles that carries passengers and cargo. The front fender, engine cover and front grille are not considered within the working area bodywork. The bodywork is the most important factor in the motorized vehicle sales.

Transport vehicle bodyworks are initially manufactured in various parts, then shaped by press. These various parts are then conjoined together by welding. After this procedure, the bodywork cleansing begins and painting process afterwards. The upper and the back are painted with a mechanical paintgun and the other parts are painted with a handheld paintgun. The bodywork is passed through a furnace in the mass production line, so the paint desiccation process is accelerated. At the next stage, seats and interior accessories are added. The completed bodywork is seated on the chassis. Rubber bags are placed between the body and chassis to prevent friction. A bodywork in this type of construction can be installed in different chassis.

The other type of bodywork is, that it built as an integral body of the body and the chassis. In this method weight of the bodywork is reduced. Also it is much more safer this way against accidents as it increases the bodyworks strength as a whole. On the other hand,vibrations caused by resonance is more noticeable this way. Furthermore, there is no way of using a bodywork with more than one chassis.

Solid bodywork-chassis are usually made of galvanized iron and immersed in large paint pools. Thus, corrosion possibility is minimized. There is no communal choice between these two methods in bodywork manufacturing.
